A Governing Body’s responsibilities cover three key areas:

    • offer support and constructive advice
    • be a sounding board for ideas
    • ask challenging questions when necessary

    • ensuring that the school delivers good quality education
    • monitoring the school’s overall performance
    • ensuring the school complies with its statutory and legal responsibilities
