Volunteer to be a School Governor at Green Shoots Partnership?

Would you like to:

Enhance your continuous professional development with Governance skills including: Project work; Budgeting and Leadership?

Give back to the local community?

Have voice in the strategic running of your local primary school?

Great Doddington Primary School and Meadowside Primary School are part of Green Shoots Partnership.

In particularly we would like applicants with a background in HR, Accountancy, Project Management or Law but this is NOT a requirement.

Our school governors meet six times a year and are also involved in school visits to assess various aspects of school life and monitor the school improvement plan.

Governors serve a four-year term.

It is essential that our governors uphold the Nolan Principles of Public Life and understand the importance of ethical leadership. Governors should be able to communicate clearly, listen effectively, and approach challenges with a solutions-focused mindset.

Experience in education is not required. A genuine interest in education, as well as in how it can transform the lives of children and young people, is crucial.
